FAQ
Everything you need to know
What action cameras are supported?+
LENS supports all GoPro cameras (Hero 9, 10, 11, 12, 13+) and iPhone. GoPro files use embedded GPMF telemetry at 18Hz for precise GPS sync. iPhone MOV files use GPS timestamps. DJI, Insta360 and other action cameras are on the roadmap.
Which GPS devices and apps can I export GPX from?+
Any GPS device or app that exports .gpx files: Garmin Connect, Suunto, Wahoo, Polar, Coros, Bryton, Lezyne — and platforms like Strava, Komoot, and TrainingPeaks. Just go to your activity, export as GPX, and import into LENS.
What sports does LENS work with?+
LENS is built for outdoor athletes: mountain biking (MTB), road cycling, gravel riding, trail running, triathlon, hiking, and adventure sports. The GPS scene detection automatically finds climbs, sprints, descents, and peak intensity moments.
Is LENS a GoPro Quik alternative with GPS overlay?+
Yes. Unlike GoPro Quik, LENS does deep GPS telemetry integration — live speed, elevation, heart rate, cadence, power, and an animated map, automatically synced. No manual editing. Cinematic 9:16 format. Free and no account needed.
Does LENS upload my footage to the cloud?+
Never. LENS runs entirely inside your browser using WebAssembly. Your GoPro video, GPX file, and the generated output never leave your device. No account is required. No upload. 100% private.
How long does it take to generate a cinematic video?+
Under 60 seconds for most rides. LENS processes everything on-device — scene detection, GPS sync, telemetry overlay, and MP4 export — in a single pipeline running locally in Chrome.
How do I sync GoPro video with Strava?+
Open your Strava activity, click the three-dot menu and select Export GPX. Then import that .gpx file into LENS alongside your GoPro video. LENS handles the timestamp sync automatically.
